Have you ever stopped to ask yourself what you would do for an iPhone? Recently, a kid in China sold his kidney to finance his tech lust, and another Chinese national was reportedly auctioning off her virginity for the same reason.

You might roll your eyes in disgust and think that something like this would only happen in China, and up till a couple of years ago, you wouldn’t be wrong. These days however, it seems that the spirit of online entrepreneurship has rubbed off on to our local youths, and girls as young as 17-years old have been reported to be going all out to fund their iPhone lusting’s too.

Local Chinese daily, China Press, ran a headline story last week on a group of secondary school girls who traded their innocence for a couple of bucks to put in the iPhone savings jar, charging between RM300 to RM600 for a dose of nasty. And as is the law of economics, if there’s a supply, there’s bound to be a demand.

Needless to say, they got their shiny new objects without having to break too much of a sweat (heh).
Fast forward to today’s news, and you’ll find that the Facebook accounts of these lasses have been closed. The reason? Nope, it’s not the sudden sense of morality rushing back into their veins, but rather the fear of the authorities clamping down on them.

One plucky schoolgirl even went as far as saying that she would resume advertising her menu of services once the heat had died down. Shocking.

We’d like to hear what you think about the actions of these girls, and how far would you go to fund a new gadget?
